We are an innovative and exciting organisation who INSPIRE young people aged 15-25 across Scotland to realise their potential and we are looking for someone who shares our passion and commitment to achieve this through delivery of a variety of vocational and employability themed programmes.

This is a full time (35hrs per week) role and the successful applicant will have an enthusiasm for inspiring the next generation - ideally with experience of a fitness related subject (such as boxing or cycling), mechanics or prior experience in delivering training and support to young people. Full training will be provided!

CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF JOB

RUTS is committed to providing vocational training and other support of the highest quality to young people using innovative solutions.

The purpose of this post is to:

  • Take a lead role in the delivery of vocational learning opportunities for young people that use off-road motorcycles / bicycles / boxing as a focus

There is scope to further develop this post creatively with young people. This is not an exhaustive list, and you will be required to contribute to the development of this exciting new role in collaboration with the employability programme manager and wider senior management team.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The Individual

This will be a challenging role and you will, therefore need to be enthusiastic and committed to working with young people, supporting them as they deal with a range of issues and helping them to successfully move into positive destinations and achieve better outcomes. We need someone with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to develop their own skills but also the ability to train young people in such skills.
